Google should Rename Go.

So the new Google programming language Go has the same name as a previous language (see Mashable and Informationweek).  This means that Google will probably end up renaming their new offering.

i suggest that they follow a simple formula (GOOGLE – GO = OGLE) and call it Ogle.  This is still a nice short, snappy and memorable  name still obviously connected to the general Google brand.  In fairness though to be more accurate the actual name would probably be OgleBETA for the foreseeable future.

This also in turn means that programmers of this language can be referred to as Oglers and the process of programming in could be termed Ogling.

Beside not sharing the name of another programming language there would be other benefits to this change.  Say for instance I wanted to search for methods of using this language in windows my search may currently be:
Capture

This could be confused with methods of breaking and entering.  The following search however:
Capture2

would not have the same confusion.

You know this makes sense and I can’t wait for oglers to reveal themselves and their packages to a public audience in the future
