		<description><![CDATA[<p>So the new Google programming language <a href="http://golang.org/" target="_blank">Go</a> has the same name as a previous language (see <a href="http://mashable.com/2009/11/13/google-go/" target="_blank">Mashable</a> and <a href="http://www.informationweek.com/news/software/web_services/showArticle.jhtml?articleID=221601351" target="_blank">Informationweek</a>).&#160; This means that Google will probably end up renaming their new offering.</p>
<p>i suggest that they follow a simple formula (GOOGLE – GO = OGLE) and call it Ogle.&#160; This is still a nice short, snappy and memorable&#160; name still obviously connected to the general Google brand.&#160; In fairness though to be more accurate the actual name would probably be Ogle<sup>BETA</sup> for the foreseeable future. </p>
<p>This also in turn means that programmers of this language can be referred to as Oglers and the process of programming in could be termed Ogling.</p>
<p>Beside not sharing the name of another programming language there would be other benefits to this change.&#160; Say for instance I wanted to search for methods of using this language in windows my search may currently be:   <br /><a href="http://www.technixa.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/Capture.png"><img style="border-right-width: 0px; display: inline; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px" title="Capture" border="0" alt="Capture" src="http://www.technixa.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/Capture_thumb.png" width="450" height="80" /></a></p>
<p>This could be confused with methods of breaking and entering.&#160; The following search however:<a href="http://www.technixa.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/Capture2.png">      <br /><img style="border-right-width: 0px; display: inline; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px" title="Capture2" border="0" alt="Capture2" src="http://www.technixa.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/Capture2_thumb.png" width="450" height="86" /></a> </p>
<p>would not have the same confusion.</p>
<p>You know this makes sense and I can’t wait for oglers to reveal themselves and their packages to a public audience in the future</p>
